The Deer Park Tennis Club (established in 1963) has a total of six courts, all with floodlighting.

It is one of the rare clubs in the Western Suburbs area to contain three different court surfaces at the one venue.

Courts 1 and 2 have  been upgraded (in 2003) to synthetic grass, courts 3 and 4 are en-tout-cas (or clay), and courts 5 and 6 are plexipave courts.

The Club has a fully functional Clubroom, with showers, kitchen facilities and a TV, and also has a BBQ area courtside.

Electricity has now been restored to the club.

  IMPORTANT  

The club currently does not have electricity - for the clubhouse or for lights - and this situation isn't expected to be fixed for a couple of weeks.

This means that:

• social tennis and "Fit and Health Tennis" sessions are cancelled for this week
• competition tennis that would have been played at Deer Park on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights will now be played at different locations

For competition players affected, please contact your team captain / team manager to find out the new arrangements.

DPTC will be holding an allcourt challenge for the Queen's Birthday weekend on Saturday, June 9
(and Sunday, June 10 if required due to weather).
